Kenya National Irrigation Board Auctions – Tana Irrigation Scheme

The National Irrigation Board (hereinafter referred to as “NIB”), in conjunction with the appointed auctioneer, Viewline Auctioneers of P.O. Box 552-00600 Nairobi, Kenya, Tel.: +254-0711-239340, E-mail: viewlineauctioneers@yahoo.com   shall sell by PUBLIC AUCTION all the under listed vehicles and all other disposable items (stores and equipment) at the respective scheme/stations on specified dates and times.

ON 29TH JUNE 2016 AT TANA IRRIGATION SCHEME AT 11.00 AM

ASSORTED SPARES FOR POCLAIN, ASSORTED SPARES FOR MOTOR CYCLE, ASSORTED ELECTRICAL FITTINGS, ASSORTED BOLTS & NUTS, DAFF ENGINES, ISUZU D/MAX D/CAB (KAY 720Q), ISUZU D/MAX D/CAB (KAY 719Q).

CONDITIONS

  1. Interested tenderers may view the vehicles and all disposable items (stores and equipment) at the respective scheme/stations from 6TH JUNE 2016 to date of auction during working hours to verify all the details for themselves as these are neither warranted by NIB nor appointed Auctioneer; 2. Vehicles and all disposable items (stores and equipment) are sold “as- is -where -is –basis” and the sale is subject to reserve price (s); 3. Interested tenderers will be required to pay a refundable deposit of Ksh. 10,000/= for vehicles, tractors and heavy equipment and ksh 5,000 for all other other items on the auction day at the respective schemes/stations to obtain a bidding number, which will also serve as an entry pass to the auction yard. 4. Tenderers are required to pay a non refundable fee of Kshs. 500/- at any National Irrigation Board offices to obtain a catalogue of the vehicles and all disposable items (stores and equipment). 5. The successful tenderer MUST pay a deposit of 25% of the purchase price at the fall of the hammer on the auction date and the balance of 75% within seven (7) calendar days, failure to which the 25% deposit will be forfeited and the item will be disposed of at the sole discretion of NIB. 6. The purchased items MUST be collected from NIB’s schemes/stations within seven (7) calendar days after full payment failure to which the paid amount will forfeited and the item will be disposed of at the sole discretion of NIB. 7. The successful tenderer shall pay all costs and applicable duties and taxes that are associated with transfer of the ownership of the purchased vehicles and other items. 8. All payments to be made in either cash or bankers cheque in the name National Irrigation Board. 9. Bidders are to kindly note that items that have Appendix are to be bided entirely/as a single lot.
  2. Pursuant to Section 164 (5) of the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015 (PPADA), the reserve price for all the items that are to be disposed through Public Action shall be found in the catalogue
